ON/OFF HIRE/DRAFT SURVEYS

Whether you are the Charterer or the Owner of a vessel, it is essential to have the vessel's condition assessed at the start and close of a charter period. An on/off hire survey, usually done in combination with a bunker quantity survey, is carried out when a vessel is delivered to the Charterer or re-delivered to its Owner.

A draft survey is a precise method to determine the weight of cargo loaded onto or discharged from a vessel. Our highly experienced surveyor will perform an initial and final survey, accurately measuring the vessel's displacement before and after loading or discharge. By factoring in the consumables used or bunkers taken on board during the process, our surveyor will calculate the exact weight of the cargo.
